Marker spliting

There was a time when I Alt-clicked a Marker it splt and I was able to expande tume mark and add a title but it has stopped doing that. I can't understand why that shortcut would just stop working.

I thought it might be something to do with Keyboard Shortcuts but Alt-click isn't a command I found.

I can't even get the Marker to open when I dc it.

Is this happening in the Source Monitor or the Timeline? If it's in the Timeline, could you confirm whether you're referring to a sequence marker or a clip marker? Clip markers cannot be turned into range markers in the Timeline, only in the Source Monitor.

Thanks for you help with this.

When I'm referring clips I think In and Out points; so I don't get confused about Markers.

So yes, my clip is in the timeline.

At first I thought I'd forgotten the shortcut but confirmed that I hadn't; which is why I posted this..
