Having this issue. Is it me or Premiere that is being stupid?

It's Premiere being stupid, it doesn't calculate the feather once the mask bound leaves the video's edge.

The workaround is as follows:

- Nest the clip you're trying to apply the mask to.

- Open the nest, and the go to sequence settings, double the frame size of your nest.

- Go back to your main sequence, now if you apply the mask it should work, because the edge of the nest is far outside the frame of the main sequence.

Never noticed that before, but it looks like Pr doesn't calculate feather correctly for points outside of footage boundaries
