Mask tracking disappears after render and replace

I've been having an issue where my mask tracking completely disappears after I use render and replace on a clip. I have the mask tracking all set up and working fine, but once I render and replace the clip, the tracking is just gone.

Has anyone else experienced this? I tried checking the "Include Video Effects" option but the mask tracking still doesn't seem to carry over to the rendered file. Is there a workaround for this or am I missing something in the render and replace settings?

Render and Replace replaces a work video with a solid video file without any effects applied but the new file should have the "final product" of what you expected from your effects.

You could do a right click on the clip in the timeline and select "restore un rendered"  to get the clip with the mask back inito the timeline.

No, if you "Include Video Effects" usually all effects are applied. So its like a permanent rendered timeline with clips used on export to speed up export time. Sometimes it works but sometimes it removes my tracking mask data, even after restoring tracking keyframes are lost. so its a bug.

Render & Replace is designed to completely create a new clip of media for each clip on that sequence, and if you click include effects, it bakes that effect into the clip.

That's the full design intent. So masking is assumed to have been used to do something that is now baked in, so therefore no mask will be carried over.

This is not the same as render previews.
