Masking and Isolation

Hi,

I had a question reagarding premiere pro. I was wondering if there is a way to only edit the background of a photo (i have a white wall in which my subject is playing a piano in front of) and I want to edit only the white wall so it doesn't look all grayish in the video. However, I don't want to over saturate or color correct my subject or the piano with the background. So I guess my question is is there a way to isolate the white wall and the subject + piano? Thanks, I'm kind of new to premiere so any help and step by step would be appreciated.

You could try to use keying to get that to happen Effects->Keying->Ultra Key or possibly Luma key but they might catch too much white otherwise. You can mask out your wall if it's a locked off shot and easy enough to roto.. That's kind of about it.
