Masking & Tracking: How to give your mask different shapes in different frames? (Premiere Pro)

Hi,

I was making a mask with the Free Draw Bezier in Premiere Pro. By hand I was adjusting the shape of the mask, frame by frame. I did this by clicking on the 'Track selected mask forward 1 frame'. In the beginning I just needed to adjust small details around the edges. But at one point in the video, the shape had to take on a different form. When I did this, the shape of the mask in the previous adjusted frames where also altered. How can I change the shape of the mask in one frame without changing it in the other frames? Hopefully my question is clear. All tips are welcome!

Kind regards,

Lee

On the first frame of your mask animation, you need to click on the stopwatch icon next to Mask Path to turn on keyframing:

Once you do that, every time you reposition the playhead and move the mask, a new keyframe for the Mask Path will automatically be created.

You can change one frame if you want but the mask need to have the same amount of nodes through out the entire duration.
