Masks No Keyframes. Who knows what to do?

No auto key frames for the masks shape. Manual key frames don't work.
The mask feature is screwed up enormously right in production time.
What is Adobe thinking? Let's irritate clients?
(Way to go. No wonder stocks shares dropped 30%.)
Who knos how to fix this bug? I'd like to finish my work.

    I was also puzzled by this for a moment until I figured out how it works. I think the feature should switch to Frame when you manually click the stopwatch icon.

    @AndrewTheGreat,

    I recalled this thread, but it is also not a feature request:

    For manually masking the Program Monitor needs to be in FRAME mode.

    Use object masking in Premiere Pro

    Again, the usual problem with Adobe “tutorials”: for THIS push THAT button. And then it's NEVER revealed where that button is. This has been going on for decades.

    I used crtl-F to skip through your article searching the word FRAME. It came up 19 times without explaining HOW to get into Clip or Frame mode.

    I don't know who has been writing these “tutorials” for all these years. If it could be my job, I'd replace that person. There should be only one word in the writer's mind: HOW.

    If you can tell me how to get into Clip or Frame mode, that would help.

    When you draw your mask Clip/Frame will appear.
