Mastering the soundtrack?
I am almost finished with a very musical project, and have the entire thing peaking around -9db. This sounds relatively quiet on my computer
but I was told to keep some headroom for the Mastering Engineer who will then make everything final.
The guy that mixed the music says I should export my entire project as a single audio final and send that to a mastering engineer,
who will then send me back the final mix as a single audio file.
Once I put that final audio file back into Premiere, will the levels be too high?
Is it normal to do this process? Is it normal to have the entire audio of the film sent as one piece to a mastering engineer?
What happens when I bring it back into Premiere, will it now be far too loud, exceeding the -9db level I had?
