Question

Match Frame no longer sets out point!

This is incredibly frustrating. Abobe, why did you change this?

version 25.0 / premiere / sonoma 14.7

In older versions, "match frame" would show the used clip, both in and out point in the source monitor. This was useful for when I would need to replace the raw media back into the timeline with a simple, match frame, then insert/overwrite. It was an easy way to very quickly replace clips. This is now no longer possible, and has completely ruined my workflow for many big projects.

Please make it possible to match frame both in and out points, I beg you!

The tick-box method worked but I would still say this is a strange UI/UX choice; the option should read “match frame sets in point ONLY” or something.

HI guys,

I do have the complete oppoisite issue on PP 25.1/ Sonoma. Unchecking the option does actually still set in and out points when you matchframe. is that a bug by chance?

No, when you have used only one instance of that clip the in and outpoint will show.

the setting is for just the inpoint when you used multiple different instances of the clip.
