Question

"Match Source (Rewrap)" in Proxy filenames???

I have enjoyed using proxy features in PP CC 2017.   But a recent frustration on a project with about 1000 clips in six folders and some sub folders is baffling me.

Repeated attempts to CREATE proxies in a designated sub folder for just the master files in another folder results in proxy files named with the following text appended to the normal file name:     Match Source (Rewrap)  .

For example, in subfolder A1   i get a 195 files named X#######_Proxy

then starting with file 196,  I get filenames that look like this      X#######_Proxy_Match Source (Rewrap)

Which is the text that appears in quotations in my subject line above.

This means that THESE proxy files are named differently from the master files and they do not  automatically attach.

I tried rerendering several times and finally just decided to use a batch rename utility to delete these additional characters.

But why is this happening ? It seems like the program is trying to tell me something,   How can it be corrected?  What am I missing ?

It is hard to search for this problem, have not seen any one complaining about this.   Does anyone have this problem?

I'm having the same problem. Did you ever figure it out?

Thanks.

FE,

You might try Bridge to batch rename the files so that they will function as expected. Would you mind trying that?

Thanks,
Kevin

Not heard of this either on the forum here or down at NAB (just got home).

Most of the Digital Video Applications (DVA) Product Support Staff are closing up shop in Vegas and getting ready to fly home at the moment. Maybe Stefan Gruenwedel could pop in ...
