Media Bin jumps to the bottom when doing a voiceover

I don't know if i am editing videos wrong but this is how i do it. I make woodworking videos and I have hundreds of videos in the media bin and I drag each one to the time line one at a time. I sometimes edit it in the source panel or I edit it in the timeline depending on what i am doing.  Whenever i do a voiceover premier creates a new audio file in my media bin and it causes the media bin to jump all the way to the bottom of the list. then i have to scroll all the way back to the clip i am working on. it is really aggravating and time consuming and i can't find a setting to turn it off.

@Jason28638709tmq2,

I see no option to specify a bin for voiceovers. There have been requests to add that feature, but I don't see one currently.

I tested in PR 25.3.0. A voiceover file is saved to the root bin. It does not matter what bin is currently open, what bin the sequence may be in, etc.

I think the workaround for your situation is to put your media files in their own bin. Double-click that bin to open it in its own tab in the panel group. That opened bin will stay active even as your voiceover is saved to the root bin (in its own tab). The root will continue to position where the voiceover file is added, but since it is not active, it doesn't interfere with your position in your media files.

The actual position of the voiceovers in the root bin is determined by sort order, and you can control that to some extent by the voiceover naming. Right-click the audio track you're recording to, pick Voice-Over Record Settings, and change the name. But you have many media files and you want the position to stay where you have it.
