Media Browser audio/video import error

I use premiere pro off and on to edit youtube videos. I'm currently using it to edit a video and I wanted to add certain effects.

I'm using my main video file which is an MPEG Movie (39.43.05 in duration). I then imported two other audio files which become slightly "corrupt" the longer they are listened to but luckily I only needed a few seconds near the beginning of them. I then wanted to add in the 'WHAT IS THAT? WHAT THE F*CK IS THAT?' audio. I downloaded it off of chrome and then tried to import it into Premiere Pro. When I try to listen to it, it is not only shorter than it's original import length, the audio quality is worse, the audio is jumbled up so only snippets are able to be heard and overall is unusable.

It also plays fine in any media player, just gets all wonky and messed up in premiere.

Any help or tips?
