Media Encoder CS6 (Mac) Crashing - how can we fix?

I keep running Preferences, Disk Utility and Disc Warrior... nothing helps 😞 .  Thanks in advance.

Will it work as expected with a different preset?  And a different source?

 

Back when CS6 was current, I found it to run best under macOS 10.9.5.

Thanks, I will look into this.  Does the Photoshop crash cause a blank screen and the fans roaring?  That is what the Media Encoder crash is doing.
