Media Offline and importer reported a generic error

Hi guys.
Last time I sent my project to another editor and then returned it with some changes. When I try to open a new project I get this saw that some clips are "offline". I trying to relink these clips and I get the "importer reported a generic error"... But when I import them handly from the finder in this project again they work well. And finally, I have two same clips in Project: The first clip is offline but a similar second clip (handly imported) is online.

Same issue, it just randomly gives me generic errors. Everytime I restart my computer I get a new set of offline clips, until finally after a few times they're all there without me doing anything but restarting everything 1 to 4 times. I didn't change any location name nor codec and everything was working perfectly fine when I started the project. Updating didn't fix it.

I'm having the same exact issue. Contacting support was useless. Kept telling me to save the files to my local drive, which would be extremely inefficient. We use dropbox and I share projects with two other editors. Sometimes things relink other times i get this annoying error code. Duplicating the file works sometimes, but again this doesnt seem right. It's an obvious bug that needs to get addressed.
