Media Pending - Premiere Pro

Hi, i recrntly updated premiere Pro as it asked me too.  I was in the middle of editing a 1 hour 20 mins timeline and since going back in it is stating that all the media in any of my bits is media pending.  my timeline has a red bar across the top, and none of my footage shows although I can hear it.  please help my head is scrambled.
