Media profile outside sequence settings?
When adding video media with a profile outside the current sequence settings, Premiere used to simply offer a warning dialogue to either change the sequence to match, or keep as is - allowing me to still add the video media. I often work with media that comes from a variety of sources so adding that media anyway was perfect; I would just adjust as needed once on the timeline. However, now Premiere seems to completely prevent adding video media with a profile outside the current sequence's settings (though it does allow me to add its audio track).
An annoying work around is to select the media > create sequence from clip, then adjust the sequence settings after the fact - but this has various workflow limitations as the project develops further and begins to incorporate a variety of media profiles.
