Media Start Timecode is Not 00:00:00

I receive many Uncompressed Quicktime files from a 3rd party.  Sometimes the timecode displayed in Source Monitor and the Media Start field in the Metadata panel are not zero.  If I open the file in Media Info the Timecode of First Frame is 00:00:00.  For example, a file I have open now has a Media Start of 15:43:42:16 while Media Info shows the Timecode of First Frame is 00:00:00.  Why does this happen?

It's often very helpful to record Time of Day timecode into footage while shooting. This is great for organizing and giving reference to when things were shot. If that's what happened with the clip above, you can tell it was recorded at 3:43 PM.

You can either ignore this or change the timecode of your clips by right-clicking them in the Project panel and choosing Modify > Timecode.
