Question

Media time line freaks out and sends CPU into activity overrun..

Hi Folks, PremPro has started doing some weird things, merge clip has stopped syncing audio correctly, it creates a media clip but doesn't actually sync the audio.. but the worst part is from that point on the timeline freezes and can't be moved, if I highlight the clips the drag box stays frozen.. I can't stretch or move any of the clip.. also the timeline marker stays frozen but as the mouse pointer moves across the timeline (as if you were scratching through the clip) the media preview box works as normal..

I deleted the folders and re installed 2018.. not dice.. however 2017 is fine so I've rolled back..

Could be just me, but...I'm having some trouble following you.  Check out the second part of item 2 below.

I'll try to clarify, the lower timeline cannot be moved, if I select a clip its stays white with the selection box still visible.. you cannot travel forward or backward through the clips.. however the top preview window shows the video as usual.. this can be triggered most times by attempting to merge via audio.. while this is all happening the CPU accelerates to 60% continually.. i've run some tests and each time they show Pr pro 2018 hogging the CPU.. however 2017 works fine..
