Method for creating complex motion in stills

Working with pano images, I'd like to create zoom in and out, scale and motion effects...imagine creating a short clip/"movie" in which different areas within the image are highlighted and explored.  Key framing and coordinating such movements would be a tedious, almost impossible method. Does anyone know of a plug in app which perhaps can "record" manual adjustments/movements as they are made to the image? Or any other way to streamline the process without key framing?
