Migrating Text/Graphics Layers from Premiere to After Effects?
Hi Everybody,
I'm primarily an After Effects person tasked with the freelance request to size some social videos, no biggie, right?
Well, as I get into this comp and start resizing elements, the fonts change scale with the comps while the vector doesn't, I can't grab more than one layer without my motion attributes disappearing. Now I'm eyeballing everything a layer at a time in what I consider a sloppy and clunky mess with operation/click rates like 4 or 5 to 1 what I would do to group/align/scale assets in After Effects. I'm meddling and not working.
So...in the past I've made a few MOGRTs in AE, and I get the general idea behind dynamic linking, but the editor already did all this work in Premiere without a real 'graphics cut' or stage. It's all manual on the fly. So I have to migrate the graphics/text back into After Effects, and THEN template.
Ugh...is there a fast way to do this? lol
I feel like if I want to do that with these elements that I'm going to have to start from scratch, all to resize to 1080x1080 and to 1080x1920. Is there a ways to get this stuff into AE like the way we can Dump PSD/AI files?
Thanks for reading and sorry if this should be in the AE community.
