Missing Built-In .MOGRT Files After Directory Changes in Premiere Pro

Hello community,

I've recently encountered an issue with Premiere Pro. After adjusting some directory settings on my laptop, all of my built-in .MOGRT fonts have disappeared, though the fonts are still downloaded and intact. This is perplexing since these .MOGRT files are standard, built-in assets that should be readily available. Has anyone else faced this issue, and how might I restore these missing graphics templates to continue my work seamlessly?

Thank you for any guidance you can provide!

Nacho.

Hey @Nacho S,

Do the fonts load if you drag a mogrt to the timeline?

It could also be a font sync issue from Adobe Fonts. Try signing out of Creative Cloud, re-sign back in, and see if the issue has resolved.

Cheers,

Theresa

Hi @Theresa Rostek!

After further investigation, I believe the issue with the disappearing .MOGRT fonts in Premiere Pro may not be related to the directories I adjusted initially. To give you a bit more context, I have uninstalled and reinstalled Premiere Pro, ensuring that a clean setup was in place. However, the problem persists.

Upon launching Premiere Pro after this fresh install, the .MOGRT fonts are still missing. Moreover, I am unable to link them to my Adobe account, despite the fact that all the necessary files and fonts have been downloaded on my system.

This is quite baffling as it seems to suggest a deeper issue, possibly with Premiere Pro's integration with Adobe Fonts or the application's ability to recognize and load these assets.

All the fonts are missing, and when I drag and drop them onto my timeline, they don't automatically sync as they should and as they used to. I'm naturally signed into my account and so on, making sure everything should be fine, yet it's not working.

One day, the .MOGRT fonts were back and available for use within Premiere Pro as if the issue had resolved itself. However, just as suddenly as they reappeared, they were gone again the next day. This random pattern of disappearance and reappearance suggests that the issue may not be directly tied to any specific action or setting that I have adjusted?

Weird! But let's try to get you back to working.

The Font service sometimes needs a reset so if you haven't signed out of Creative Cloud and re-signed back in, I recommend that as a first step.

Then:

2.Right click on a built in mogrt. Select Sync Missing Font. Hopefully that did the trick, otherwise, move onto step 3.

3.Try re-syncing a single font from the CC app. Close Premiere Pro. Open the CC app, go to the ƒ in the top right corner, navigate to Myriad Pro, click on the 3 dot menu and select "Remove Font." Reopen Premiere Pro and apply 'Basic Title' to the timeline to see if the font syncs.

4. See if this issue happens in an earlier version of Premiere Pro and/or the beta version. We want to figure out if this is related to this specific version or if it is truly Fonts.

Please let me know:

  • Premiere Pro version number
  • Operating system and version number
  • Does this happen for any non-built in mogrts that use Adobe Fonts as well

Cheers,

Theresa
