Question

monitors

I have 3 monitors and Premiere Pro 2025 only lets me edit on the timeline on monitor 01 and I want to edit on monitor 02 since it is the largest. And I can't find a way to change this.

I work with four monitors. So it's entirely useful to do.

First, always use the "extend desktop" operation from the OS, but never ever drag the edge of a Premiere panel over to another monitor! Do not have any panel groups touching another screen or Premiere gets cranky.

So ... you drag a panel to another screen, then resize it so there is still a bare bit of screen background showing around the outside of the panel ... then drag more panels into that panel to make a panel group.

Save as a new, named workspace.

Program monitor pretty much must stay on the main OS UI monitor screen. Timeline panel should be able to be repositioned as above.

I understood your explanation. So it really isn't possible in Premiere Pro 2025. In previous versions I dragged it to whatever monitor I wanted and editing worked normally.

Huh?

I said, I'm working with four monitors in Premiere ... and I can move the timeline panel to another panel group if wanted. So ... apparently we have a miscommunication ...

Unfortunately not, Premiere Pro 2025 only allows you to edit the timeline if you are on the main monitor.
