More actual transitions in Premiere?

Does anyone know where to get more actual transitions for premiere pro that are not presets or template? The ones that clip to the ends of footage, not layering on top. Or am I just stuck with the basic ones it comes with? Honestly, I'd be happy with a basic frame zoom in/out, a dip to color that recognizes a layer's alpha channel, and a wrap wipe. I'm only thinking of switching because Apple stopped supporting FCP7 and I really want to upgrade my computer.

I contacted the man who created some of the transitions I was using everyday in FCP7 (CGM DVE) and he informed me that:

"All the nice functions are not available for 3rd party developers: no GUI and no realtime preview. That means, when I like to program effects, I have to develop everything twice, for Windows and OSX, because of the different interface APIs. And then I have to develop a complete app, which takes the input videos, shows the GUI and shows the resulting output video."

Is this why switching from FCP7 to Premiere Pro CC seems like a step down for the custom photo montages I create? I think it's ridiculous how much more time and keyframes it takes to create an effect that was drag and drop in FCP7. If Adobe wants to rely on third party developers so much, shouldn't they make their program more accessible?

It would be really nice if we could just create custom transitions in After Effects using placeholders, but I don't see this feature request ever getting Adobe's effort. Unfortunately, they have made it very difficult to gather support for niche feature requests, since their uservoice site is overrun with general requests like "Support Linux".

There's all sorts of "niche" requests on UserVoice and they do consider all of them. When you want something first search for that on UserVoice then upvote and post a link back here for others to use.

Works quite well actually.
