More than one preset for transition duration?

Hi everyone,

I know it's been a long time and we are all trying to get past the "what I loved about Final Cut Pro 7 was...." conversations, but one point still nags me, and I'm wondering if anyone out there has a solution.

I used to love having more than one preset dissolve duration handily at my disposal, so I could quickly perform a long slow dissolve between two pieces of music, then turn on a dime and put a 2-frame dissolve to clean up a piece of dialog, then back again.

I'm mostly talking about audio transitions here.

I find this so much more cumbersome in Premiere, having to either modify a transition once it's in the timeline or take all the steps to go into the Preferences -> Timeline menu and change the default value.

99% of my dissolves are 30 frames or 2 frames.  It'd be so great to have both a mouse click or a keyboard click away.

What am I missing?

Thanks for all your help.

Joe
