Mouse scroll wheel over audio tracks

Hi,

I'm getting used to PP after many years on Avid. Quickie, in Avid, when adjusting audio levels, you can place your mouse over the fader and scroll on the mouse wheel for fine adjustments. Can I do the same in PP?

Are you sure you are using Clip Mixer Tab and not Track Mixer tab.

Track mixer will affect all clips.

Select clip tab if you need to adjust for a specific music file.

To adjust an entire track use the Track Tab

You can’t adjust audio faders with the mouse scroll wheel in Premiere Pro.

The easiest way to make fine audio adjustments is in the Timeline:

Select the clip.
Press [ or ] to decrease or increase volume by 1 dB.
Hold Shift while pressing [ or ] to adjust by 6 dB.

You can change the large adjustment amount by going to Preferences > Audio and modifying the Large Audio Adjustment value.

Next quickie: If I have several different music files on the same audio track, and adjust dB levels to taste on one particular music file, does this instantly adjust all other music files to the same dB level? In other words, if differing music files require differing dB levels, can I do this within the same audio track, or do I have to place each music file on its own audio track?

Adjusting volume this way affects only the selected clip, not the entire track.

If you select multiple clips, on the same or different tracks, you can adjust all of them at once using the same shortcut.

To adjust the entire track level:

Go to Window > Audio Track Mixer.
Click the track volume value below the fader to select it.
Press the Up Arrow or Down Arrow to adjust by 1 dB.
Hold Shift to adjust by 10 dB.
