Mouse trackpad sensitivity

How do I change the sensitivity of gestures? The two finger scroll and zoom is unusable it's so sensitive. Other applications is no issue. And my cursor speed isn't the issue. I don't want to change that. If I move my 2 figers less than a 10th of an inch it scrolls through a bin of 200 photos from top to bottom. I cannot finesse it to zoom in and out without jumping all the way in or out.

gotta say I hate trackpads and always try and use a mouse...  Might help if you tell us whether you're on windows or a mac.   If you're on a mac, you might want to check out the apple forums to see if someone can help you...

I edit with a mouse on my desktop. 

why can I zoom in precisely on photoshop? Or scroll up and down photos intuitively on Lightroom? But the second I open premiere it's completely unusable? I remember editing with max 6+ years ago and I preferred track pad. But windows can't even pinch to zoom. It's just irritating and subtracts from my user experience on a new $2500 loaded Dell XPS I just picked up for my business.
