Moving new clip to timeline brings up Project Panel

In the Media Browser panel, each time I double click a new clip to open it in Source monitor and then move it to the timeline, Premiere (23.5.0) switches my view from the Media Browser to the Project panel. I find this very annoying, as I then have to keep switching back to the Media Browser to bring in my next clip. Is there a setting to prevent this constant switch?

Guessing this is by design.

Have the source monitor and media browser open and placed next to each other.

What would be the benefit of automatically shifting to the Project panel? I rarely, if ever, have reason to go to that panel right after bringing a clip to the timeline.

There are things that you can set on the clip from the Project panel's context menus, such as those things in Interpret Footage.

I've got a custom workspace for using MediaBrowser with the Project panel on a separate panel group on a second monitor. Gets "selected", but I still have everything up. Wouldn't mind atall if it didn't get auto-selected on import from MB.
