MP4 files not showing in "Select media to create new project"

Running the latest version (not beta) of PP on an M2 Macbook Air running the latest MacOS.  (I had (and STILL have) this SAME PROBLEM on a Windows 11 machine).

The only files I see (as far as I can tell) in the media window are IMAGES - no videos - well, not MP4's.  This particular MP4 was a short video taken on my Pixel 6 Pro.

Yes, I have ALL compatible files selected.

Try to just give the project a name and a folder path when creating it and then just click Create. This will create the new project and take you right into your project without any fuzz.

To import files, go to File > Import or use the Media Browser. Now you will find the files without issues. 🙂

OK - sure - that works - thanks - but kind of sickening that "workarounds" have to be used.  I guess $50/month or whatever ain't enough for the program to work properly.

Most of us don't use the Import page to import media. That's a relatively new thing.

We tend to use the older process: name a project, select location, Create. And then import a series of folders frequently as bins.

Everyone's mileage always varies ...
