Multi-Camera Bug and Workaround
I have had this bug when using Multi-camera feature and workflow in Premiere. It probably started about 3 or 4 versions ago and I did submit a bug fix request awhile ago but it is still happening for me. First, I'm wondering if anyone else is experiencing this bug. I been using this feature for about 4 years, I think, and never had a problem until recently. I'm not doing anything different than I always have.
I'll have two camera angles, and basically, I'll be going along in my sequence and as it plays, I'm selecting my camera angles. Sometimes, however, Premiere changes the camera angle that I selected and I can't figure out why. It will even do it later on down the line. In other words, I'll double check and it will be fine, but then later on, after I've made additional edits, I'll go back and it will be the wrong angle again.
For about 6 months, this was driving me crazy because I had to keep going back and double and triple checking all of my sequences to make sure my camera angle selections were the right one.
Long story, short, if anyone else is having this problem, here is a workaround - turn on "Show Through Edits" under Sequence Settings. Now, when I'm done my editing, I go back and if I see any show through edits, I know Premiere has messed it up. Then I only have to go back and correct the edits that are now showing through. Usually it's about 3-6 edits that I have to make, but at least I don't have to watch the same sequence multiple times or wonder if something is still messed up.
