Question

Multicam 'edit cameras' not working for entire sequence

I have a sequence with hundreds of cuts in a single multicam, the multicam has 13 cameras in it. Whenever I go to choose what camera I want, the source window displays 14 options. I have used 'edit cameras' multiple times and changed it to 3 per page but every cut in the timeline reverts it back to 14 cameras. Even selecting the multicam as a whole and saying edit cameras to 3 doesn't work. And my timeline won't ever playback without lag if I have the multicam open in my source window. How can I change the number of cameras displayed to affect the entire sequence? This seems to be the only way for premiere to handle this project and playback appropriately.

Hi Tyler,

That is an odd problem, indeed. I would try creating a brand new project to see if the behavior is corrected. Can you try a test for us and let us know what happens?

Thanks,
Kevin

This has been like this since Adobe implemented multicam and despite continuosly requesting it it has never been addressed. It really is a vital function in large, many camera multicam edits along with showing the source label colour rather than the multiclip label colour in the timeline.

When you added another camera angle this also used to happen but seems to have been fixed now so get the guy who fixed that into this please!!

Thanks!
