Multicam edits in the middle of a sequence

I'm editing a 2-hour multicam sequence with a ton of edits, primarily using the keyboard shortcuts to switch between camera angles.

If I want to go back and re-edit a portion in the middle and use the keyboard shortcuts, the last keyboard shortcut I use will make that camera angle hold for the entire rest of the sequence, erasing any edits after that (to the right on the timeline).

Is there a way to use keyboard shortcuts in the middle of an already-edited multicam sequence so that any edits made "after" (to the right) of the new edits are preserved?

Can you confirm whether you're pressing the shortcut keys during playback in Multicamera mode?

I wasn't able to reproduce this behavior on my end. However, if the issue persists, try moving the clips to the right onto a different track. This can help prevent them from being accidentally overwritten during multicam edits.
