Multicam error every time I edit text

This is a problem I've faced for years, and nothing has ever been done about it.

Every time I need to exit multicam mode to edit some text with Essential Graphics, the option to crop camera via the Program panel stops working and I can only get back to work by restarting Premiere. This is a very frustrating error that should have been resolved some time ago...
