Question

Multiple interview subjects

I can't find info or tutorials on this question: I need an approach to editing multiple interviews with multiple subjects. Essentially, I want to edit them together based on each subject's answer to a series of topics:

Topic 1 - subjects A, B, C, etc. answers

Topic 2 - subjects A, B, C, etc. answers

Topic 3, etc.

The final video would present the subjects repeatedly, moving from topic to topic.

I'm concerned that I will get lost and swamped, as there will be about 12 subjects speaking on 8 different topics.

Can someone briefly explain how I should approach this or point me to a relevant tutorial?

Many thanks.

This is where text based editing becomes so useful.

Transcribe all clips, then print them out. They include timecode in the printout.

Now go through each and make notes as to clip/timecode, or just grab the clip sections you want for X topic.

Everyone's mileage always varies ...
