Multiple Inverted Masks

Not sure why, but I can't make multiple mask in PP. I trying to mask two different areas on a video clip. . Can someone suggest a solution, a plug in or should I use AE?

Inverted mask can only applied once to a clip.

How are you attemping to mask? The most surefire way to do it should be adding a mask in the Effect Controls panel under the Opacity effect. You can click one of the three Mask buttons, shape and position that masks and then click one of those three buttons again to add another mask. Is that what you have already tried? If so, do you not get a "Mask (2)" showing up?

I was trying to invert both masks but PP can only do one invert
