Question

Multiple Multi Camera Videos in Same TImeline?

Hi Adobe Community

I am creating a music video with about 20 different camera angles and two lighting setups. I have (quite proudly!) just taught myself how to create Multicamera editing setup. I am trying to use two multicamera clips in the same sequence (One in V1 and one on V2 above) and Premiere is only showing me the one multicamera video in the window and I cant seem to bring the V2 Multicamera footage up in the multicamera window. Is there a way around this or can you only use one multicamera video per sequence?

Any help/ advice appreciated

Danny

and not sure you'll be able to get smooth playback with 20 angles.  You'll probably need to generate proxies to get the smoothest playback possible

Thanks for your reply. Yes I used Proxy files for the edit so I could see what was going on in the Multicamera window without my laptop having a fit! I guess you can't use two multicamera clips in the same timeline so I just used 16 in the multicamera window then layered all the other video clips above as I used to do. I've got to where I need to be with it though so thank you. Danny

were both multicamera videos shot at the same time?  If so, you should be able to combine the 2.  If not, I think you're out of luck.  In this kind of situation, I put markers in the multicamera clip to indicate where the song is at that point.   I suppose you could still combine the 2 creating gaps periodically to adjust for synch between the 2 shoots.
