My Adjustment Layers only work in certain sections of my videos

Hey everyone, I'm having this really weird issue that so far I havent found any solution to.

I tried using an adjustment layer for a transition between two clips, and I found that the adjustment layers effects are only working on certain sections in my timeline, and in other parts the effects in the adjustment layer do nothing at all

Attached is an example of an effect working on one section of the video, and then not working in a later section of the video (where the effect os originally placed)
