My Adobe Premiere Pro 2020 CC just crashed out of nowhere

I am about to lose my sh*t... After 4 hours of working on it, it crashed, my computer (Macbook Pro) didn't even acknowledge the crash until 20 minutes later, and then, everything auto-saved, but that auto-save is gone, I don't know where that went. Can I somehow retrieve my 4h of work..?

I was just about to render, clicked on the down arrow to go back to the beginning of the file, and then the software just vanished, gone, with its project. I'm so done, I hate Premiere Pro 2020 with a passion. Thanks adobe for ruining my software and projects constantly, while I get robbed off 50$ every single time.

and it seems that dropbox keeps previous versions so you can restore a previous version.  Just checked...

I save to a local folder that is automatically synched to my dropbox account in the cloud.   It can be a little tricky setting up the dropbox synching but it's been working great.   when you've been working in NLE systems for as long as I have, you usally develop a 6th sense when things are getting wonky so I'll do a save when things don't seem to be working smoothly.

Hi theroyalgamers,

We're sorry to hear about this. You may search for .prproj on your computer. This will populate a list of Premiere Pro project files saved on your computer (including the autosaves). You may check in this list if it has the project file with your edit info.

Thanks,

Sumeet

If its gone I cannot help you there,.

I have seen this on occassion. All work just gone......but my backups.

Make a habit of Save a Copy to a different drive on a regular basis.
