My Experiance with the Update 11.0.2 (47) Build

I've installed it on my deskstop and laptop.

Desktop

I7 with 32gb memory. NVidia GTX960 4gb. 5TB SSD Harddrives, Win10

Laptop

I7 with 32gb memory. NVidia GTX960m 4gb. 5TB SSD Harddrives, Win10

I first did the straight Cloud update. That resulted in an immediate crash on the desktop (Grooveex.dll). After restarting it continued.

I cleaned out the cache and moved the MediaCache folder. Starting fresh on that end.

I loaded an archived project. This was in a new folder as well.

- Although the screen no longer goes blank it freezes in place. I dialed it down to 1/8 resolution and it still had a lot of problems but I got past that by starting and stopping the app several times to keep moving.

- Other than the Obsolete EQ which I replaced the file did load and audio and video worked on all.

- I had made a few edits to the file.

- When I go to export

H.264

50mbps

Render at Maximum Quality

High

5.2

VBR 2pass

AAC Audio 48hz

The export sat there quite some time. I got the error (see screen print) below "Unable to produce frame" right from the first second. Although it took some doing I was able to export this previously with the same settings.

So now I'll spend my time to uninstall it. Run the full cleaner tool. And reinstall it and start completely over again.

On the laptop I have had to save every couple steps as it has crashed several times as well. I need to get more information on that though. But I followed the same steps there as well. And in the case of the laptop it is a new project with just images (Slide show type).

I would like to know where I went wrong (although my feeling is this shouldn't be so difficult).

Make a new project and import the old one.

    See if that will help.

One thing that has worked for many is to export 1 pass.  These days, the only thing 2 passes gets you is a longer coffee break.
