Question

My whole laptop stops working when i try to inport files

Hello

There im having massive issues for almost month now

1- when ever i try to import big size file in feeze the whole system wont work anyway all i have to do restart and import one by one

2- slow response time if switched to another app and when i came back i have to wait like few seconds to start working again thats kinda really hurt

My laptop

Msi Z17

Intel core i7 12Gen

32GB Ram

Nvidia Rtx 3070 Ti

Hope i find some solutions its kiiling me

What is your storage configuration? where are you storing everything?

Have you considered clearing cache files?

Yes sir indeed i did

Looks like intel 12gen and DDR5 NOT FULLY Optimized with adobe apps

Please share some issue about your "big size file" like resolution, frame rate, codec, length, etc. Also does this happens with other footage too? Or only this file?

Can you please share your system info? Like OS and version, Pr version? Thanks. Also a screen grab of your issue will be helpful.

and to add to Joost's questions, is the media stored locally, on what kind of drive and how is the drive connected to your computer. And you might try assigning more RAM to adobe software in the memory preferences... or possibly less RAM if you aren't leaving enough for the OS and other app to use. And what app are you switching to? Certain apps may demand more system resources and can cause issues...
