Necesito reinstalar Premiere Pro en macOS Big Sur (ahora me dice “incompatible”)

Hola a todos,
Necesito ayuda con máxima urgencia.

  • Equipo: iMac 27" Late 2013 – macOS Big Sur 11.x

  • Cuenta: Creative Cloud empresarial (suscripción activa)

  • Situación: Hace menos de 4 meses instalé Premiere Pro y funcionaba perfecto. Después de limpiar el sistema he intentado reinstalarlo y Creative Cloud lo marca como “incompatible”. No aparece el menú de «Otras versiones», así que no puedo elegir una build anterior.

  • Imposibilidad de actualizar SO: Este Mac no admite Monterey ni versiones posteriores, así que necesito una versión de Premiere compatible con Big Sur.

  • Proyectos en curso: Tengo trabajos críticos en un disco externo que debo seguir editando ya mismo.

Petición:
¿Puede algún miembro del staff de Adobe o alguien de la comunidad facilitarme un instalador offline de Premiere Pro 2022 (v 22.x, por ejemplo 22.6.4) o la versión más reciente que siga funcionando en Big Sur? Solo necesito reinstalar la app de forma legítima con mi licencia: todo lo demás (Photoshop, Illustrator) ya está funcionando.

I urgently need help.

  • Machine: iMac 27" Late 2013 running macOS Big Sur 11.x

  • Account: Work Creative Cloud subscription (active)

  • Issue: Less than four months ago I installed Premiere Pro and it worked flawlessly. After a thorough system cleanup I tried to reinstall it, but Creative Cloud now labels Premiere Pro as “incompatible” and won’t show the “Other Versions” menu.

  • System upgrade not possible: This Mac cannot be upgraded to Monterey or newer, so I need a Premiere Pro build that still supports Big Sur.

  • Active projects: I have critical projects on an external drive that must be edited right away.

Request:
Could an Adobe staff member or anyone in the community provide an offline installer for Premiere Pro 2022 (v 22.x—e.g., 22.6.4) or the latest version that still runs on Big Sur? I have a valid license; Photoshop and Illustrator are already working—Premiere Pro is the only missing piece.

Thank you so much in advance—this is extremely urgent because my deadline is imminent.

We're sorry about this. Currently, only the installers for the current and previous major versions of our apps are available through Creative Cloud Desktop app. Also, all the available versions of Premiere Pro require macOS Monterey (version 12) or later to work properly.

Hi Sumeet.
My problem is related: I have an HP laptop with Windows Home 11 v25H2 and 16GB RAM.
I would like to update my Premiere and Photoshop to the latest versions but in CC dashboard it says that my system is incompatible and that I need to update the system. However, my Windows version is the latest and it is certainly newer that what is listed as the minimum systems requirements in the info page. Why can't I install the new versions of these programs? Can you help, please? Thanks

What are the complete computer specs, including hard drives (how many, what kind, what is on each, what capacity, and how full)?

If NVIDIA graphics, make sure to use the latest Studio Driver from NVIDIA (NOT the Game Driver).

Hi @luis_0981:

Unfortunately, that model Mac is no longer an option for running Premiere Pro.

You'll want to upgrade to at least a 2019 27-inch iMac, but since those are soon to become legacy Macs as well.  I would upgrade your hardware to something Apple Silicon based.  Premiere Pro 24.x and 25.x run really well on the M1, M2, and M3 based Macs, so it doesn't have to be a brand new M4 Mac.  Your least expensive option is going to be a Mac mini with at least 16GB of RAM.  I'd also opt for the 1TB Flash storage option or more for the Macintosh HD.

Your external drive should move right over, but it likely needs an adapter since your iMac has Thunderbolt2 and USB2 and newer Macs have Thunderbolt3,/4/5 / USB-C type ports.

 

If you do go with a new Apple Silicon based Mac, Migration Assistant is fine for documents only.  Do not use it to migrate applications.  If you upgrade to an Intel-based Mac, full Migration Assistant should get you up and running a little more quickly.
