Need a alternative way in CC instead of FCP's 'Make Independent Clip'

Sometimes Premiere Pro make me confused.

Especially when i want to make some clips to Independent Clip.

For instance,

 - Synced Clip to MOS Clip for other way use,

 - Trim the front and back of the cut.

I always hope my premiere project opened neat condition to my crew.

But It messed up everyday. too many clips weaves in sequence and bin.

Have you have any process to make independent clips like FCP in Premiere Pro?

or do you know how to control this troublesome situation?

Help, and ask your great idea 🙂

Thank you!

if you're talking about fpc7 and earlier, not fcpX (which I don't know about), I'm not sure I remember exactly how it worked, but I do remember it was a very handy feature.  You might try this.  Control click on the clip in the timeline or in the bin and choose "reveal in finder" and then drag the original clip back in to premiere.  Not sure if it'll do what you ask but a quick test would tell.

I think you might be referring to what in Premiere is a subclip?

Although if you're talking about syncing a separate sound track to a clip, and then having Premiere see that as a new clip ... there's both multicam (which can sync a single audio to video as easily) and Merge clips. Premiere still doesn't treat them quite the same.

Another option after syncing a clip and separate audio is to select the two, and then right-click nest. It creates a new 'sequence' of just that bit, and you can name it as you wish ... it lives in the bins ... and you can treat it just like any other 'standard' media clip.
