Need Help Choosing Format and Preset Settings to Export to DVD

I am using Adobe Premiere Pro 2017 and cannot figure out how to export my video file so that it can be burned onto a DVD and work in a DVD player. I have exported it as a H.264 format with the Match Source- Medium Bitrate preset and the video runs great on my computer. But that export will not work on a DVD. I also tried exporting it as MPEG2-DVD format with the NTSC DV preset and that did not work on the DVD either.

What format and preset should I export my video so that in can be burned onto a dvd and play in a dvd player?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

MPEG2-DVD is the correct setting, you then import the two (audio and video) files into Encore to author and write a DVD

No file will work in a DVD player unless the DVD has been properly created

How to get Encore https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2320416

-with a link to Encore forum and a note about why CS6 is the final Encore

Do NOT export anything other than MPEG2-DVD or Encore will have to transcode a 2nd time, lowering the quality

Somewhat dated now, but still some good information to learn Encore

PPro/Encore tutorial list http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1448923 has lots of tutorial links to help learn

that is because you probably just burnt it to disk without authouring the disk first.

Download Encore as explained in previous post.

Import the mpeg2-dvd (two files) into Encore

Encore should says: dont transcode.

Make menu and burn.

So the only way to export to a video is to download an older version of Premiere Pro that comes with Encore? There's no way to do it with the version that I have?

No you can use 2017 to export the mpeg2-dvd file.

But you need to download CS6 in order to obtain Encore to make the disk.
