The default DVD export settings in premiere create separate audio and video files on purpose, because that is the way Encore works with them best. In the authoring process, Encore must use separate audio and video streams to be mixed together in the vob file. If you bring in a file that has the two streams combined, then Encore must separate them before it does its work. If you're actually creating a playable DVD, then you should leave the files separate.

In Encore "import as timeline," and select both video and audio file.

    Hi parweizh59731783,

The issue that you are facing here could be because of an export setting in Premiere Pro. In Premiere Pro we have an option for Multiplexer. This controls how the audio and the video are merged in MPEG during export.

When you select the MPEG2-DVD as a format in export settings, the Multiplexer option by default is set to None which creates separate files for video and audio streams. Setting this Multiplexing option to DVD would have the video and audio data multiplexed.

To set the Multiplexer to DVD you may follow these steps

    • Go to the export settings in Premiere Pro
    • Set format as MPEG2-DVD
    • Then scroll down and look for a tab for Multiplexer
    • Set the Multiplexing option to DVD

Now when you export, the audio and video should be merged together.

Also, if you are trying to export for DVD using Adobe Premiere Pro CC and writing DVD disc using Adobe Encore CS6 you may refer to this article.

    Hope you find it useful.
