New computer and I'm in hell!!!!

I don't even know what to search for right now I'm so delerious! I got a new computer this past week and all I've done is move my project hard drive over. Now, projects that were working fine on the old computer, give Unknown Errors when loading on the new computer. If I'm lucky! One project just closes right out with no errors at all. It just doesn't load. Worse still the media clips directly from my cameras don't even load in Windows. Except it's not all clips. Only a few. Clip 10 is fine, clips 11 is not, clip 12 is fine. All 3 from the same camera! I have one project where only 18 out of 64 clips are good and all clips are from the same camera and were absolutely working on the old computer.

What have I done wrong? How do I fix it? How can simply moving the hard drive from one computer to another do this?

Any help or insights would be awesome as I have a project due this weekend and I'd hate to tell them it's all gone.

Thanks.

Premiere Pro, and many Adobe programs, use multiple locations on your computer. The project files/media drive are only part.

What version of Premiere Pro were you using to create the projects, and what version is on your new computer?

What Operating system on each computer?

My current project was the current version of Premier. I was working on it just last weekend. Other projects were the version or two just before the current version of Premier. And I was working previously on Windows 10 Enterprise now I'm Windows 10 Pro. The worst part is, if it was something to do with Premier or Windows, I would expect all file to work, or not work. Not this random collection of working and not working.

I agree the inconsistent problems make no sense. But they are happening!

"Current version" is sometimes enough, but not this time. The CC 2018 update removed dolby support from the program and uses the OS. Are you on 2018? Or still 2017.1.2?

But I don't see how any of that explains your problems. Do you have the old computer for testing?

Is PR prompting for updating previous version projects to the new version?
