New CPU and GPU, black screen render crash

Hello,

I just got a new CPU and GPU and noticed that my Premiere Pro isn't working properly anymore. I can normally open and create projects and import media, edit media, create timelines, scrub through the timeline and such but as soon as I want to render the timeline 'in to out' it black screens my monitor. My keyboard and mouse turn off but the computer itself stays on and I have to unplug the power supply to restart. Everything else on the computer runs smoothly and without any problems, only Adobe is having issues.

I've tried several things already:

- Reinstalling Premiere Pro

- Restarting computer

- Reinstalling Creative Cloud

- Tried different Premiere Pro versions

- Reset Presets and Settings

- Deleting Media Cache

- Using different files in the timeline

- Using Creative Cloud Diagnostics (showed no issues)

I'm pretty frustrated and don't know what to do anymore. If anyone can help or had the same issue and knows what to do please let me know!

- Windows is updated.

- GPU: Radeon RX 7900 XT Hellhound

- CPU: AMD AM4 Ryzen 9 5900X

- 64GB RAM

- New power unit with 750W

(I tried using a two other cables as well and it worked again once but then it crashed again)

Please help!!

!  PROBLEM SOLVED  !

After several hours and days of searching for the problem, I was finally able to find the cause for the problem and solve it.

I worked with a professional. We reinstalled Windows and tried the old GPU but nothing solved the problem.

THE CAUSE:

Turned out there was a rather rare problem with the mainboard that didn't completely get along with the GPU and CPU.

THE SOLUTION:

We changed the mainboard and now rendering in Premiere Pro is working again! It's lagging a bit sometimes when I work in the timeline but I think that's because I now use a relatively cheap mainboard.

Thanks again for everyone who helped!!

(Unfortunately the Adobe Support was a big disappointment.)

I didn't realize Adobe sold (and tech supported) hardware.

Most of us are responsible for our own hardware.

?

I'm glad you discovered that's what the problem was.

It's unreasonable to expect that adobe would be testing every possible combinations of hardware and software....    But thanks for posting your solution...  and hopefully it will point other people in the correct direction.

Update: The problem is NOT solved.

What I tried:

- Had a professional check the computer (CPU, GPU etc.) are completely fine

- Did a stress test (Everything was fine and went smoothly)

- Reinstalled the driver

- Checked for driver updates

- Checked for Windows updates

- Created a new Windows user with administration privileges

- Used different videos (also example media from Adobe)

- Used two monitors, only one, different ones

- Changed the cable of the power supply

- Reinstalled Creative Cloud and Premiere Pro

- Deleted Media Cache

- Used Creative Cloud Diagnostics (result: no issues)

- Tried different versions of Premiere Pro

What I can do:

- Open the program

- Create projects

- Import media

- Create a timeline

- Work with texts and such

- Edit the timeline

- Export projects

- etc.

What I cannot do:

- Render by pressing Enter

- Render by using 'Render in to out'

What I know:

- The crash happens rather randomly. Sometimes I can render and it crashes when I scrub to the rendered timeline, sometimes it crashes as soon as I render.

- However, it always crashes when I do anything relate to rendering.

- DaVinci Resolve seems to be working only Adobe doesn't

- Big and resourceful games and programs, as well as everything else works

My setup:

- GPU: Radeon RX 7900 XT Hellhound

- CPU: AMD AM4 Ryzen 9 5900X

- 64GB RAM

- New power unit with 750W

- Windows 10 Pro, Version 22H2

I'm very grateful for any help to solve this problem. I hope there is a solution for this.

There's no over-clock applied as far as I know.

I tried using different monitors but the problem still remains.

A new windows user profile with administrator privileges also didn't help.

Any over-clock applied to the CPU or memory? How about multiple monitors, if so, try with just one.

gotta say it's really smart to have someone on call who can help with this sort of thing.

I had someone check the PC today. GPU, CPU and everything else is completely fine. Since I'm using an AMD driver there's no studio or games driver. I was told that only goes for NVIDIA drivers. I'll try the tip with a new windows user profile.

I'll keep everything updated on here!

I mainly work on a mac, but you should find the answer to how to change your gpu driver and how to create a new user by googling.  There are lots of great (and some, not so great) tutorials on youtube...  And perhaps someone else here can walk you thru it.    And if you find some good links, would be nice if you posted them back here to help others...
