New export panel - can't export current frame easily

I know there's a quick shortcut for exporting the current frame, but that option does not let you choose, for example, a 16bit TIFF file. I often exported screenshots of the scenes I was working with in high bit depth TIFF files to preserve the quality of the source I'm working with in an image, and now the new export panel no longer defaults to exporting the current frame when you are not exporting as sequence. Instead, it chooses the first frame in the sequence, which is completely useless to me.

Sure, I could set an in point every single time I did this, but I sometimes export thousands of screencaps from each project I do, and this new workflow just made that process far harder. If the image preset I'm using does not have "export as sequence" selected, it should by default export the current frame the playhead on the timeline is at, not the first frame in the sequence/selection.

Hitting the little camera icon in the window or "ctrl-shift-e" doesn't give you the option for a tiff? It does for me. Or is it not 16bit?

Looks like the camera icon gives 8 bit.

If you want a single frame in 16 bit you will have to set an in and outpoint around one frame in the export.

Dont know of any other way.

There's no way to set it to be 16 bit? There must be some pref file somewhere that has that...

In fact, I just realized that it's not exporting the first frame of the file. It exports what's displayed in the preview window of the new export panel, which could be any frame and is completely independent of the preview when editing the sequence. This is not good at all for anybody who wants to export single frames in custom formats.

Another issue I just found: Because they don't give you a dialog box for choosing file name, you can't see what your other files are named in that same folder. You will have no way of knowing if you chose a name that's already taken until you press export, and if you're exporting several things in a row like me, you may want to number them. The new panel makes it impossible to see what the previous number you used when you last exported was, so you have to keep switching withdows to the folder. This is really going to make simple things so much more complicated.
