New install. Can't play timeline. Audio *is* set to MME

I am having the same problem that many other people have had.  I just installed Premiere Pro CC 2018 (trial version for the moment).  I can't play video on my timeline, but I can scrub with no problem.  My audio hardware setting is set to MME and not ASIO.  The default output and Master Clock are both set to my Soundblaster X-Fi sound card.  I have a machine with the following specs:

Windows 10 64-bit

Intel i7 7700

16 GB memory

Nvidia GeForce 1030 (2 GB) (built into motherboard)

I have CC 2018 on two other computers and have no problems with them.  Any ideas on what else might solve this problem?  Any other info I can provide?

    Correct answer Ann Bens

What is the input set to?

Set it to none and see how that goes.
