New masking method - trying to keep an oval mask shape

The new masking method is absolute garbage. I can’t even change the size of an oval mask and keep it relative. My shape has 4 bezier curves now which mess with the entire oval shape.

I want to mask my subject with an oval mask and just resize the oval. But if I touch any of these points it messes up the entire mask shape. 

What goober designed this?

Thinking of moving to Capcut. Every upgrade gets worse with Adobe. Two months ago my 2nd monitor output stopped working. They acknowledged it was an issue but are too lazy to fix it.
