New Version of Premiere not opening my Old version

Help,

Every time I try to open up my project file it wont allow me to open it. a window pops up and says "This project was saved from precious version of Adobe Premiere Pro and must be converted. the original project file will not be modified.

After I created a new Project and tried to drop in the old project with the sequence and footage It would not work.

I understand that next time I update I have to check the box DO NOT REMOVE OLD VERSIONS but how do i fix this mess now??

That's normal. Just go with it.

What happens if you let it do the conversion?
