Question

NewBlue FX Titler Pro 6 keeps crashing

Hi,

On the back of a previous thread I made (https://community.adobe.com/t5/premiere-pro-discussions/integrating-third-party-software/m-p/15644379#M576929) I now have NewBlueFX Titler Pro 6 integrated with my installation of PP.

But there are working problems - please note the attached screengrab.

When grabbing the effect and placing it on the timeline on the video track above the track where the live action is placed, then clicking the effect to open its UI, as you can see there is is no live action track showing within TP6's work panel.

Also, when closing TP6, PP then crashes and asks to send an Error Report.

I appreciate that this is most likely a NewBlueFX issue to resolve, and I have also contacted them (and to begin, they say this is no longer a supported version of the software), yet I wondered if anyone here in the PP community would have the answer?

Thank you,

DC

I'm seeing the same behaviour - TP6 with Premiere 25.6.3 (build 2).  I used this combo 3-4 weeks ago without issue.
Your missing background video may be resolved if you use Elastic Timeline and jog the playhead in TitlerPro

Analyzing the crash dump it looks like a memory access violation associated with Adobe importerhost.dll - theres no reference to TitlerPro in the dump report

Please advise if you get anywhere with this.

OK - it looks like this was an issue that started with 25.6.2

I down-rev'd my install to 25.6.1 and was able to edit a TP6 Title from the Premiere Timeline, exit TP6 and then continue without issue in Premiere.
I then upgraded to 25.6.2 and get the crash when I exit TP6
Down-revving again to 25.6.1 restored normal operation
To down-rev, open Creative Cloud Desktop app, click the three little buttons below 'Premiere Pro' then select other versions and choose 25.6.1 (Screenshot attached)

Hi - thank you for coming back to me, although I abandoned this.  Instead, I have an AE wizard friend of mine and asked him to construct a lower third, albeit there are now issues with this.  May I ask you to look at my latest forum post and suggest a remedy?  The thread is: https://community.adobe.com/t5/premiere-pro-discussions/ae-effect-not-showing-through-on-pp/m-p/15653345#M577328

Very much appreciated, DC

Hi,

On the back of a previous thread I made (https://community.adobe.com/t5/premiere-pro-discussions/integrating-third-party-software/m-p/15644379#M576929), NewBlueFX's Titler Pro 6 is now integrated with my installation of PP.

However, I am experiencing issues - please note the attached screengrab.

When placing the TP6 on the timeline and on the video track above the track which holds the live action, as you can see within the TP6 UI there is no showing of the live action track.

Also, when closing TP6, PP then crashes and asks to send an Error Report.

I appreciate that this most likely is an issue for NewBlueFX, and I have also asked them about this. I just wondered if anyone here within the PP community would have a solution.

Thank you,

DC
