Newest Premiere Project Issues

Question

I recently updated to the newest version of Premiere (25.6.2) Now, when I try to open a project that existed before I updated, I get the message "This project was saved in a newer version of Adobe Premiere Pro and cannot be opened in this version." This is not possible, since I am working with the newest version of Premiere. I even tried going backwards and re-installing an old version, then re-installing the newest version. That did nothing. I can't access my project and I'm not sure how to fix this.

Make a copy of the project file and try to open it in the beta version.
